Guiness Book of World Record at SG!

On Thursday November 13, 2014, about 293 students at St Gerard School took part in setting a new Guinness World Record for “Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day.” Physical education classes participated in this activity and a number of students took part in it during their recess. Way to go, Falcons!

Fifth Graders Give Advent Calendars to Their First Grade Pen Pals!

The 5th graders and 1st graders at St. Gerard School are pen pals for the school year and do many things together. Spelling Bee Winners!

Congratulations to Hagan Hamel (5th Grade) and Kristina Rathbun (6th Grade).  Hagan and Kristina are the winners of the Spelling Bee contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.  Hagan and Kristina now advance to the Regionals. Congratulations!!

Reading Has Its Own Rewards…

…and a pumpkin or two! Students were encourage to read, read, read in October. They filled out coupons based on the books they read and at the end of the month they reaped the rewards of all of that reading! Oh, and a few of our students were able to take home a beautiful pumpkin. …

4th Graders Study the Rosary…yum?!

Towards the end of their study of the rosary during the month of October, fourth graders were treated to just one more example of the rosary,and this one was different than any rosary they had ever had before! Students brought in cupcakes to put together the rosary.
