Sixty-eight years of experience between these two teachers!
Mrs. Mary Jo Mills has been a teacher at St. Gerard School for 38 years, the last 18 in the 5th grade.
Mrs. Mills says:
"St Gerard has really been my home away from home. I always wanted to work at a school that had high standards and expectations for its students. That is one thing that has not changed at St. Gerard. It has always strived to be a school that provides an excellent academic, well-rounded Catholic education. I believe my many years teaching at St. Gerard have supported that goal and I hope the tradition continues."
Mrs. Mills plans to spend time with family and pursue her interest in Art.
Mrs. Sheila Iding has been at St. Gerard school for 30 years, 16 as a teacher aide and 14 as a teacher, all in 1st grade.
Mrs. Iding says:
"I came to St. Gerard when my youngest son, Adam, was in first grade, and I never left. I stayed for 30 years because St. Gerard felt like home to me. The staff, students, and parents were like family, which makes me incredibly blessed. 'Once a Care Corner kid, always a Care Corner kid' and the same goes for the Care Corner teacher."
Mrs. Iding will be helping to teach her Kindergarten and Preschool aged grandchildren this year.
St. Gerard thanks these two wonderful teachers for many years of dedicated, faithful service!
